GAS!

I am not complaining. As Americans we have paid far less for gas than any other developed nation. Want someone to blame, blame Putin.

I have been lucky enjoying my Road2Reinvention these past 5+ years because the gas has been cheap. But, not anymore. It is costing $100 to fill my tank and that takes me around 300 miles. How I wish for a Ford 150 electric truck.

What to do?

I will be traveling cross country in August, heading home to the east coast. Driving cross country in August is crazy. I hope to stay one night at KOAs with swimming pools.

I am fore going Deschutes River State Park in Oregon in exchange for my favorite Virginia state park First Landing at Virginia Beach. Yippee!

While I have enjoyed my travels on the west coast, it’s time to head east. I have had great visits with three University of Oregon friends, Kristin, Cathy and Lauren (Forgot to take pictures of us). Alaskans living in Washington, Bruce & Lydia, and Mary. Harriet in Eureka, and cousin Karen &. Larry, hopefully will be coming to visit at my last hosting gig, Grizzly Creek in the Humbolt Recreation area Northern CA.

Then I will go back to Reno, and east to Madison to see niece Rachel & Adam, and on to Virgina Beach to campground host at First Landing. 2,700 miles in August is possibly really stupid. It’s gonna be hot!
